Susan Larson (B.A., University of Manitoba; Ph.D., McMaster University) joined the faculty of 新澳门六合彩 in 1998. She was appointed dean of the college in 2019 and in 2021 became provost. She previously served as division chair for Sciences and Mathematics and director of Undergraduate Research and Student Scholarship.

While on the faculty, Larson taught courses for the psychology and neuroscience programs and engaged students in undergraduate research through course-embedded research experiences in her Research Methods and Learning and Behavior course. She also supervised students in an animal laboratory on research projects including the investigation of behavioral and cognitive changes associated with immune system activation and assessments of motor learning in rats. Scholarship of Teaching and Learning projects conducted with student co-inquirers include a study investigating gender and student participation in the classroom and evaluation of the integration of undergraduate research into a Behavior Modification course. She is especially proud of publication and conference presentations co-authored by her student co-inquiries.

Larson served as a councilor in the Psychology Division of the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) from 2003-18 and president of CUR from 2016-17 and she regularly serves as a facilitator for CUR institutes. In the fall of 2008, Larson was the recipient of the Ole and Lucy Flaat Distinguished Scholarship award at 新澳门六合彩.

Larson lives on 5 acres outside of Glyndon, Minnesota, with her husband and their dog, Viktor.
